The wait of crores of Vodafone Idea users is over, 5G service launched in these 17 places

Vodafone Idea has finally launched its 5G service. The country’s third largest telecom company has started 5G service after waiting for almost 2 years. Vodafone-Idea’s 5G service has been launched in 17 license areas of the country. Although, this is a very small-scale launch, crores of users of the company are expected to get 5G service soon.

In 2022, Vodafone-Idea participated in the 5G spectrum auction along with Airtel and Jio. Airtel and Jio launched 5G service only in October 2022, but Vodafone-Idea users had to wait a long time for it. According to Telecom Talk report, Vodafone-Idea has started 5G service with 3.3GHz and 26GHz spectrum bands. Prepaid and postpaid users of Vodafone-Idea (Vi) will be able to avail 5G service.

Vi 5G service started in these 17 places

Vodafone-Idea has launched 5G service based on mid 3.5GHz spectrum band in 17 telecom circles. This is the complete list-

1. Rajasthan – Jaipur (Near Galaxy Cinema, Mansarovar Industrial Area, RIICO)
2. Haryana- Karnal (HSIIDC, Industrial Area, Sector 3)
3. Kolkata-(Sector-V, Salt Lake)
4. Kerala- Thrikkakkada, Kakanad
5. UP East – Lucknow (Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar)
6. UP West – Agra (Near JP Hotel, Fatehabad Road)
7. Madhya Pradesh – Indore (Electronic Complex, Pardeshipura)
8. Gujarat- Ahmedabad (Near Divya Bhaskar, Corporate Road, Makarba, Prahlad Nagar)
9. Andhra Pradesh – Hyderabad (Aida Upal, Ranga Reddy)
10. West Bengal – Siliguri (City Plaza Sevoke Road)
11. Bihar- Patna (Anishabad Golambar)
12. Mumbai- Worli, Marol Andheri East
13. Karnataka- Bengaluru (Dairy Circle)

Vi 5G plan

Vodafone-Idea has also deployed 2.6GHz spectrum band in all these telecom circles except Bihar. At present, Vodafone-Idea’s 5G service is commercially available only in selected areas. For Vodafone 5G service, users will have to take a plan of Rs 475. At the same time, postpaid users will get the benefit of 5G service with the REDX 1101 plan.
