Will there be a separate recharge plan for Keypad Phone users? The government said this

There is still a huge number of people using keypad phones in India.

In today’s time, mobile phone has become an essential device. Along with calling, it is used extensively for many daily routine tasks. However, now the increasingly expensive recharge plans have become a big problem for mobile users. There are millions of users in the country who use mobile phones only for calling. But, since there is no separate plan for calling, one has to buy an expensive plan.

Is the government or the telecom companies currently making any such planning which can provide relief to non-smartphone users i.e. users using keypad phones from expensive recharge plans? Now the matter has been cleared by the government in this regard. Let us tell you about it in detail.

Question asked to the government

In fact, recently in a question to the Central Government in the Lok Sabha, it was said that there are many users in the country who do not use smartphones, nor do they need any kind of data plan. Has there been any discussion about whether the government is making any new planning for the users of such keypad phones or not?

In response to this question, the Union Ministry of Telecommunications replied that at present there is no such plan nor is any work being done in this direction. It has been cleared by the Union Ministry of Telecommunications that the recharge plans currently running for smartphone users and keypad phone users will continue in the same manner. This means that the government or telecom companies are not currently working on any new plans for keypad phone users.

Number of BSNL customers increased

Let us tell you that Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vi are the three major telecom companies of the country. All three companies had drastically increased the prices of their recharge plans in the month of July this year. After the increase in prices, users of private companies are shifting towards government telecom company BSNL. BSNL is rapidly working towards stabilizing its 4G network to provide convenience to its customers.
