A youth from Khammam district of Telangana was shot dead by miscreants at a petrol pump in America. He used to work there. Family members gave this information on Saturday.
Madhusudan Thatha, member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Telangana Legislative Council, quoting preliminary information received from the US, said that Sai Teja Nukarapu (22) was shot by assailants at a petrol pump near Chicago late on Friday night Indian time.
Madhusudan met the victim’s parents at his residence near Khammam. He told that Sai Teja was not on duty at the time of the incident, but was helping a friend, who had asked him to stay for some time. The friend had gone out for some work.
A family member of Sai Teja told the media that he had studied BBA in India and was pursuing MBA in the US and was working there part-time.
He said it was sad to know that Sai Teja was shot dead when he had stopped at work to help his friend. The Legislative Councilor (MLC) said he has spoken to members of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) for help in the incident. The body is expected to reach India next week.
