The Air Force intercepted and destroyed a missile launched from Yemen before it could enter the country. “Sirens started sounding in the area due to falling missile debris,” the Israeli military said.
Several air strikes were carried out on Thursday morning on the capital Sanaa, the stronghold of Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Before these attacks on Houthi rebels, the rebels had fired a missile targeting central Israel.
At present it is not clear who carried out the air strikes on Sana. Sanaa has been controlled by Houthi rebels for more than a decade. Houthi controlled media reported about the attacks in one of its reports but did not give any information regarding casualties nor did it say what kind of damage was caused by these attacks.
Shortly before this, the Israeli army said that its air force intercepted and destroyed a missile launched from Yemen before it could enter the country. “Sirens started sounding in the area due to falling missile debris,” the Israeli military said.
