America became active regarding the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, know what it said

Washington: America has said that it wants minority communities in Bangladesh to be protected. Hindus coming from minority community in the country are celebrating their biggest festival Durga Puja. This statement of America has come in the wake of increasing attacks on the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh after the resignation of the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her departure to India in August. “Certainly, we want to see the rights of minorities in Bangladesh protected,” State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at his daily press conference. A question was asked about the threats being given during the meeting, in response to which he said these things.

What did India say?

India has urged the interim government of Bangladesh to ensure peaceful religious events for the Hindu community in the South Asian country. According to a UN report, more than 600 people, including Hindus, have been killed during violent protests in Bangladesh. After the fall of Hasina government in Bangladesh, the minority community is facing increasing threat from religious fundamentalists.

Mohammad Yunus had given assurance to PM Modi

Let us tell you that in August itself, Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, had spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on phone and assured the safety of Hindus. PM Modi then posted on the Reiterated India’s support and assured the safety, security and protection of Hindus and all minorities in Bangladesh.” (Language)
