What did America say?
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that the US has consistently expressed its concerns. In a post on social media platform X, Miller said the US is imposing sanctions on four entities that contribute to Pakistan’s ballistic missile program. We are clear about our concerns. The statement said that the US has identified four entities for sanctions. These organizations are engaged in the work of increasing weapons of mass destruction. These include Affiliates International, Akhtar & Sons Private Limited and Rockside Enterprise.
Help given in missile program
The National Development Complex (NDC) based in Islamabad has acquired the items to advance Pakistan’s long-range ballistic missile programme. This includes specialized vehicles used as launch support equipment for ballistic missiles and missile testing equipment. The statement said the US assesses that the NDC is responsible for Pakistan’s development of ballistic missiles, including the Shaheen-series ballistic missiles.

Akhtar & Sons Pvt Ltd, based in Karachi, has worked for the NDC to supply equipment for Pakistan’s long-range ballistic missile programme. Philiats International has facilitated the procurement of items for the NDC and others in support of Pakistan’s ballistic missile program. Rockside Enterprises, also based in Karachi, has worked for the NDC to supply equipment for Pakistan’s missile program.
