Famous musician AR Rahman has recorded a 30-minute video of his concert in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, which is expected to give a big boost to her (Harris’s) campaign ahead of the presidential election to be held on November 5.
Rahman (57) is the first major international artist from South Asia to support Harris, who is of Indian-African origin. “With this performance, AR Rahman joins a growing group of leaders and artists who are championing progress and representation in America,” said Shekhar Narasimhan, president of the Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Victory Fund. ”
“This is more than just a concert, it is a call to action for our communities to get involved and vote to build the future we want to see,” he said.
Earlier, the AAPI Victory Fund announced that world-renowned Indian musician and singer Rahman has recorded a special 30-minute video in support of Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign.
This video will be broadcast on AAPI Victory Fund’s YouTube on October 13. The 30-minute event will feature some of Rahman’s best-loved songs, along with messages highlighting Kamala Harris’ historic candidacy and commitment to the AAPI community, a media release said.
