Dhaka: The statement of Shafikul Alam, chief advisor and press secretary of the interim government’s caretaker Mohammad Yunus, has come to light regarding the continuous unrest in Bangladesh and attacks on Hindus. He said that he has given this statement regarding relations with India and attacks on Hindus. Shafiqul first attacked Sheikh Hasina, saying, “…Sheikh Hasina is a mass murderer. She has run one of the most brutal dictatorships.

Let us tell you that Sheikh Hasina is currently in India. Shafiqul Alam said that we are shocked and surprised to know that he is still allowed to talk to the media from his residence…” On Indian Foreign Secretary’s visit to Bangladesh, he says, ”We are Looking forward to both counterparts discussing issues of mutual interest. We hope that the meeting will further deepen relations between the two countries.

Bangladesh said – no intention of banning ISKCON

He said that our relations with India remain good and both the countries are trying to deepen relations. I hope that our relations will further improve in the coming months. On the question of ban on ISKCON temple after the arrest of Hindu leader Chinmoy Das in Bangladesh, he said, “We have repeatedly said that we have no plans to ban ISKCON.” We are not going to do anything like that. However, he maintained silence on the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
