Hasina had left Bangladesh and reached India on August 5 amid student-led protests here and has been living in exile there since then. The Dhaka-based ‘International Crimes Tribunal’ had issued warrants for Hasina and 45 others on October 17.

Tribunal officials said six more people would appear on Wednesday.

At least 20 suspects have been arrested in the case. The tribunal will take information from the police about the progress made in arresting Hasina and other suspects in this connection. The tribunal’s chief prosecutor has sought help from Interpol through the country’s police chief to arrest Hasina. Yunus, in his message to the nation on Sunday, had said that his administration would demand Hasina’s extradition from India.
