In the session of the House of Commons, MPs have raised the demand for the resignation of Justin Trudeau. At the meeting held on Wednesday, dissatisfied MPs took their concerns directly to PM Trudeau. It is clear from this that Trudeau has to face increasing dissatisfaction from within his own party. Dissatisfied Liberal MPs have also given Trudeau an ultimatum till October 28 to leave the post of PM. During the caucus meeting on Wednesday, a document outlining the case for Trudeau’s resignation was also tabled.
24 MPs signed the agreement
Sources who spoke to Radio-Canada say 24 MPs have signed an agreement calling for Trudeau to step down, CBC News reports. During the meeting, British Columbia MP Patrick Wheeler presented a document which argued in favor of Trudeau’s resignation. It suggested the Liberal Party could experience something similar to what the Democrats saw after US President Joe Biden chose not to run for president. In the meeting that lasted for three hours, the MPs were given two minutes each to present their views. During this time, many MPs were seen against Trudeau and some were seen supporting him.
Tension continues in relations with India
Meanwhile, let us also tell here that Trudeau has recently once again made baseless allegations against India. He points out India’s hand in the murder of Khalistani Nijjar. However, India has rejected his allegations. Due to Trudeau, relations between Canada and India have become sour. India has also withdrawn its High Commissioner from Canada.
