Before sitting in this new gleaming BMW car, Ackerman tied ‘lemon-pepper’ in it and then also broke the coconut. This video of his has become the headlines of social media.

First of all he removes the cover on the car and then puts the German national flag on it. After this they wrap ‘lemon-mirchi’ around the rear view mirror of the car. After this the German ambassador also breaks a coconut. The vehicle’s registration number 27 CD1 is seen written on the diplomatic blue number plate.
What did Ackerman say?
Philipp Ackermann said on the occasion, “Germany and India are committed to mutual partnership. Environmental pollution becomes very high during winter time. That’s why I felt that we should contribute to reducing pollution. I wanted to get an electric car. I had talked about this in my headquarters. After a few days my demand was accepted. It is an electric car, which reduces pollution.”
