Tel Aviv: The war between Israel and Hezbollah has begun. Hezbollah launched missile attacks on several places in Israel, including Tel Aviv, early on Wednesday. Israel also targeted Hezbollah’s bases. This was the biggest attack on Tel Aviv so far by the Lebanon-based terrorist group Hezbollah. The Israeli army has said that it is activating its ‘reserve’ soldiers in view of the increasing tension with the Hezbollah terrorist group. The army said that it intercepted a surface-to-surface missile.

Tension increased further in the region

Tensions in the region have escalated further amid Hezbollah’s missile fire after hundreds of people were killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Lebanon’s Health Minister Firas Abiad said 51 people were killed and 223 others injured in Israeli attacks on Wednesday. At least 560 people were killed in Lebanon in Israeli attacks on Monday and Tuesday and thousands were forced to seek shelter in safe places. Many families have fled to Beirut and the coastal city of Sidon. Some people were trying to leave the country, causing traffic jams on the Syrian border.

no news of loss

Air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and across central Israel after the Hezbollah missile attack. There were no reports of casualties or damage. The army said it attacked the site in southern Lebanon from where the missile was fired. The United Nations said five days of Israeli attacks on Lebanon have displaced more than 90,000 people. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said a total of 200,000 people have been displaced in Lebanon since Hezbollah began firing rockets into northern Israel nearly a year ago.

Israeli retaliation

Israel retaliated after Hezbollah fired missiles. Hezbollah said it fired a Qader-1 ballistic missile targeting the headquarters of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad. Hezbollah holds Mossad responsible for recent targeted killings of its top commanders. Last week, dozens of people were killed and thousands injured, including many Hezbollah members, due to explosions in devices including pagers and walkie-talkies.

Missile reaches central Israel

The Israeli military said it was the first time a missile fired from Lebanon had reached central Israel. Hezbollah claimed to have targeted an intelligence base near Tel Aviv in an airstrike last month, but there was no confirmation. The Palestinian Hamas terrorist group in Gaza repeatedly targeted Tel Aviv in the early months of the war. The Israeli army said it was calling two reserve brigades for the ongoing mission in the northern region. The army said this would help continue the fight against the terrorist organization Hezbollah. The United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Lebanon on Wednesday at the request of France. (Language)
