Bangladesh Attack on Hindus: Hindus are continuously being targeted in Bangladesh. There is reaction from all over the world regarding the violence against Hindus. Meanwhile, US Congress member Raja Krishnamurthy has expressed concern over the arrest of ISKCON saint Chinmoy Krishna Das and the unrest in Bangladesh. He called on the Bangladesh government to uphold human rights, guarantee legal protection and end violence against all minorities, including Hindus.

‘Violence is not accepted’

Raja Krishnamurthy said, “The ongoing violence against Hindus and others in Bangladesh cannot be accepted. This should be stopped immediately. I urge the Bangladesh government to take decisive steps to reduce tensions peacefully.

‘Government should protect Hindu minorities’

US Congressman Brad Sherman also recently said that the interim government of Bangladesh has a responsibility to protect the Hindu minority and meaningfully address the protests by thousands of minority Hindus in the wake of recent attacks and persecution. He had said that the administration should play its role in ending violence against the Hindu community.

‘Fundamental freedom must be respected’

Recently, the statement of US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel regarding the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh was also revealed. Patel had said, “We are clear that fundamental freedoms should be respected. “Governments need to respect the rule of law, they need to respect basic human rights.”
