Israel says it is targeting Hezbollah assets in the suburbs of Beirut where the terrorist group is based. But it is also a busy residential and commercial area.

The Israeli military said the attack on Wednesday targeted an weapons warehouse in a residential building. The Israeli army warned on ‘X’ to evacuate the area, saying that it was targeting a building in the Haret-Harik area. Hezbollah started firing rockets at Israel on October 8 in solidarity with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

Earlier, Lebanon’s civil defense said the death toll from an Israeli attack on the southern city of Qana had risen to 15. Rescuers’ spokesman Nuhad Bustanji said the rescue operation was ongoing and the death toll could rise. In the video shared on social media, ruins of the building targeted in the attack and damage to surrounding buildings can also be seen. Local media reported that several attacks were carried out in the southern city on Tuesday night. Many civilians were killed in the 1996 Israeli attack on the United Nations compound in Qana.
