UnitedHealthcare CEO Murder: A major incident of murder was carried out in New York, America in the beginning of December. United Healthcare Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian Thompson was shot dead outside a hotel in downtown Manhattan on December 4. The police have now achieved great success in this case. Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on charges of murder.
Pistol and fake ID recovered
The name of the person arrested by the police is Luigi Mangione. Mangione was arrested when a customer at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania noticed him wearing a blue mask. When he became suspicious, he (the customer) informed the staff, after which the police immediately took action and detained the person. During interrogation, the police came to know that he was a shooter. The police found a pistol and a silencer from Luigi, along with the fake ID used to get a hotel room.
Didn’t like Thompson
Luigi Mangione was living in Hawaii before committing the murder. New York Mayor Eric Adams said that he has been identified as exactly the person we were searching for. Something has also been found from him which shows that he did not like Brian Thompson. The social media profile of the accused revealed that he had worked as a data engineer in California. He left the job in the year 2023.
Was shot on the morning of December 4
Police said the 50-year-old man was shot outside the Hotel Hilton at around 7.45 am, after which the attacker fled. The injured were taken to the nearest hospital, but could not be saved. When the information came to light that the person killed was not a common man but the Chief Executive Officer of United Healthcare, there was a stir. It is being told that ‘United Healthcare’, the insurance arm of the healthcare giant ‘United Health Group Inc’, was to hold its annual meeting with investors in New York City on the morning of December 4, hence he had come here.
