Spanish President Pedro Sanchez used the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) to buy a Lord Ganesha idol in Mumbai on Tuesday. The Spanish President was being assisted by an Indian representative to complete the transaction. Sanchez is on a three-day visit to India. He will attend an event in Mumbai and leave for Spain on Wednesday. He and his wife Begona Gomez attended Diwali celebrations in the financial capital of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sanchez unveiled the Tata Advanced Systems Ltd-Airbus facility to manufacture C-295 military aircraft in India. The Vadodara facility is the first private sector final assembly line for military aircraft in India. PM Modi said that this will not only strengthen India-Spain relations but will also promote our mission of ‘Make in India, Make for the World’. He said that the aircraft manufactured at this facility will also be exported in future. Modi also expressed hope that the ecosystem created by the facility will help India produce civil aircraft in the future. The C-295 aircraft manufacturing factory reflects the new work culture of the new India. This feature showed the speed at which India is working on any project, from ideation to implementation.
