North Korea once again drops balloons filled with garbage on Seoul's Presidential Palace complex

North Korea once again dropped balloons filled with garbage on the Presidential Palace complex in Seoul, South Korea on Thursday. South Korean officials gave this information.

North Korea started sending balloons filled with garbage towards South Korea in late May, after which it has now sent such balloons for the second time. South Korea’s Presidential Security Service said that balloons filled with garbage were dropped on the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex by North Korea on Thursday, although there was no dangerous object in them. It was not immediately known whether North Korean President Yun Suk-yeol was present at the compound when the balloon fell.

Experts say North Korea probably lacks the advanced technology to target specific locations and drop balloons. South Korea’s ‘Dong-A Ilbo’ newspaper reported on Thursday that North Korea dropped balloons filled with garbage on the Presidential Palace complex in Seoul.

The trash dropped from the balloon was accompanied by leaflets critical of President Yoon and his wife Kim Kyon Hee. The newspaper reported that these pamphlets were found scattered in the Yongsan district of Seoul, where Yoon’s presidential office is located.

It was reported that North Korea has recently started using GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to drop balloons filled with garbage at designated places.
