For the first time in Pakistan, a decommissioned Boeing 737 aircraft was transported by road from Karachi to Hyderabad on Thursday and Friday. The aircraft used by the defunct private airline ‘Shaheen Airways’ has been decommissioned after completing a journey of 165 kilometers by road and has reached the ‘hangar’ of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
A CAA spokesperson said, this is the first time in Pakistan that an aircraft has been moved on a specially designed trailer. He said the aircraft will be used for training operations at the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI) in Hyderabad.
