Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Kazan city of Russia on Tuesday to participate in the 16th BRICS summit. This is a two-day (22-23 October) visit of PM Modi to Russia. Where he will participate in the 16th BRICS summit to be held in Kazan city under the chairmanship of Russia. Sharing details of the BRICS summit, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that along with the founding members, new members will also participate in the event. The summit will begin on October 22 and there will be a dinner for the leaders on the evening of the first day.

New initiative with China to resolve border dispute
An agreement has been reached between India and China before the BRICS conference. A new initiative has been taken to resolve the border dispute that has been going on since 2020. The border tension that has been going on for 52 months in eastern Ladakh between India and China has been resolved. After exercises at the military and diplomatic level between the two countries, an agreement has been reached to reduce patrolling and military tension on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Announcing the decision, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that since the incidents along the Line of Actual Control in 2020, we were in constant touch with the Chinese side at military and diplomatic levels.
