Wilmington: After the Quad Summit, the heads of states of India, America, Australia and Japan gave their address for Cancer Moonshot. The theme of this year’s Quad Summit was based on Cancer Moonshot. Therefore, all the world leaders showed solidarity to fight against cancer. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big announcement to start treatment with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to fight cervical cancer in India. Along with this, he offered aid of 7.5 million dollars to help other countries.

PM Modi said that I heartily congratulate President Biden for organizing this Cancer Moonshot. This reflects our shared determination to provide affordable, accessible and quality healthcare. PM Modi said that during the Covid pandemic, we made vaccines available for the Indo-Pacific region. An integrated approach of prevention, screening, testing and treatment is necessary to reduce the burden of cancer. A large number of cervical cancer screening programs are running in India. India is running the world’s largest health insurance scheme. Special centers have been set up in India to provide medicines to everyone at affordable rates.

India has developed its own vaccine to fight cervical cancer

PM Modi said that India has also developed its own vaccine for cervical cancer. New treatment protocols are being started for this with the help of AI. India is ready to share its experience and efforts. Today, many cancer specialists from India working in cancer care have joined us in this event. India’s vision is “One Earth One Health”. In this spirit, I announce a contribution of $ 7.5 million for safety kits, detection kits and vaccines under the War Cancer Moonshot Cancer Initiative. India will also cooperate in radiotherapy treatment and capacity building. I am happy that 40 million vaccine doses will be contributed from India to Indo-Pacific countries, which will become a ray of hope in the lives of crores of people. This is not only for the country, but for the people.
