This week in Prabhasakshi’s special weekly program Shaurya Path, we have talked to Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi (retired) about the Russia-Ukraine war, India’s growing military power and the turmoil in West Asia. As always, DS Tripathi has spoken in detail on the Russia-Ukraine war. At the same time he told what goal Putin is trying to pursue. Regarding India’s increasing military capability, he said that the Indian Army is busy preparing for the future strategy. We are also making friendship but we are also keeping ourselves prepared for any situation. On the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas, Brigadier Tripathi said that Netanyahu’s objective is clear and with this objective he is trying to take it forward.

Question 1. Russia and Ukraine are attacking each other. America has also allowed Ukraine to use the weapons given to it inside Russia. Putin has responded to this by changing his nuclear doctrine. What effect is this going to have on this war?
Answer- In response to this question, Brigadier DS Tripathi said that 1000 days have been completed. After the return of Donald Trump to America, Europe and Ukraine itself are unable to understand what to do next. Russian President Vladimir Putin is showing no signs of stopping. He is continuously moving towards Ukraine. While Putin’s aim seems clear, Ukraine is in confusion. Tripathi said that Russia has strengthened its air defense. At the same time, all the countries including NATO are now looking at their own interests first because they have not got any success against Russia in the last 1000 days, on the contrary they have suffered losses. Where Russia is in attacking mode. Ukraine is in defensive mode. Ukraine’s losses continue to increase. Ukraine’s small counterattacks are not making much difference to Russia. Whatever Putin has to do, he is doing it. Ukraine is not even able to use F16. However, Putin is also saying that he is in favor of normalizing everything but on his own terms.
Question-2. Hypersonic missile has recently been tested in India. The Defense Minister of India has called it a huge achievement. At the same time, panic and anxiety have increased in China and Pakistan. What impact will this have on India’s security strategy?
Answer- Brigadier Tripathi said that ever since hypersonic missile has come into the world, it has made a lot of noise. Russia and China have also got success in this. America is also still behind. In such a situation, India’s success may definitely worry countries like China and Pakistan. However, it is also true that India has achieved this success with the help of Russia. India’s hypersonic missile has a range of 1700 kilometers which can extend even further. The biggest thing about hypersonic missile is that no one can predict its path. Its production in India was started in 2009 but success has been achieved only now. America has not been successful so far. This represents victory for us both militarily and diplomatically. This will help in putting pressure on China. At the same time, it can prove to be a big step towards self-reliant India.
Question 3. Attacks continue between Israel and Lebanon and now Houthis are also attacking Israel with drones. In which direction is this war going now?
Answer- On Israel-Hamas war, Brigadier Tripathi said that Netanyahu’s goal is very clear. Netanyahu is moving in the direction of completely destroying Israel’s enemies. He is also talking about agreeing to his terms on the peace process. Hamas has been eliminated by about 80%. Hezbollah is Israel’s target. Lebanon is also continuously suffering losses. Brigadier Tripathi said that this war has witnessed the greatest human tragedy. Infrastructure has been damaged. It has helped Israel to move in the direction that it wanted. He said that Gaza appears to be almost under Israeli occupation. Israel has full focus. Now Hamas is not getting help even from Iran. Iran’s power has been completely destroyed.

Question-4. Indian forces have recently conducted Eastern Strike war exercise. What is its purpose?
Answer: In response to this question, Brigadier Tripathi said that the name itself makes it clear what its purpose could be. All three armies participated in this. It was organized somewhere to focus on military prowess and military capability. If it was organized in the eastern region then it can be understood what was our focus. He said that we cannot trust China. While talks are being held with China to normalize everything, we will have to increase our strength. We have to keep ourselves prepared for any situation. The purpose of this event was to increase coordination between the three armies. At the same time, this exercise can also be seen as an attempt to prepare future war strategy.
