American citizens are reaching the polling booth to vote in the elections. NASA has made a plan to ensure that no one is left behind in this process of voting. According to NASA’s plan, astronauts will be able to vote even while in space. Four Americans are currently in space, who will exercise their voting rights. These include two Boeing Starliner astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who are stranded in space.

What is the voting process?

Since 1997, NASA astronauts have been voting in elections from the space station. Astronauts have been voting through electronic ballot from the orbiting laboratory present in the space station.
