Trump signs agreement with Biden for the next phase of transition in the White House

US President-elect Donald Trump signed a memorandum of understanding with President Joe Biden for the next phase of transition at the White House so that the new administration and its members are ready to work from day one. The next Chief of Staff Susie Wills gave this information.

Unlike in the past, the new team will not use government buildings or technology provided by the General Services Administration (GSA) and will operate as a self-contained organization, Wills said Tuesday.

Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2025. “President-elect Trump is beginning the next phase of the transition by signing a memorandum of understanding with President Joe Biden after completing the selection process for his Cabinet,” Wills said.

“This agreement allows our intended Cabinet nominees to begin critical preparations, including the deployment of strong teams in every department and agency, and complete an orderly transition of power,” he said.
