Ankara: Türkiye has been shaken by the terrible earthquake. It is being told that today a strong earthquake was felt in Eastern Turkey. Its intensity on the Richter scale is said to be 5.9. The 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck the town of Kale in Malatya province at 10:46 a.m., according to the government Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, or AFAD. The earthquake’s impact was also felt in the nearby cities of Diyarbakir, Elazig, Erzincan and Tunceli, Haberturk television reported. “We have not received any information about any problems so far,” Malatya Mayor Sami Er told state news agency Anadolu.
