Terrorists on Saturday attacked a police mobile van in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and two terrorists were killed in retaliation.
Police said the terrorists ambushed the van which was on patrol in the area under Cantonment police station in Bannu district. In the encounter that followed, two terrorists were killed. No police officers were injured in the attack.
Authorities have identified the deceased terrorists. In another incident, a joint post of police and paramilitary Frontier Corps was attacked in Navagai area of Bajaur district of the province.
However, the attack was foiled and there were no casualties. In another incident, Haji Sharifullah, affiliated with Jamiat-e-Ulema-Islam (JUI-F), was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Bannu district. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
