US President Joe Biden hosted Diwali celebrations at the White House. The Diwali celebrations at the White House were attended by over 600 eminent Indian Americans, including Congressmen, officials and corporate executives from across the country.
US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti set the dance floor on fire with his dance performance during Diwali celebrations at the US Embassy in Delhi today. Garcetti danced to the popular Bollywood song ‘Tauba Tauba’ from Vicky Kaushal’s film Bad News. Garcetti, 53, is seen performing Bhangra on stage as the crowd cheers him on as he dances to the hit song in a brown kurta and a pair of shades.

The Diwali celebrations at the White House were attended by over 600 eminent Indian Americans, including Congressmen, officials and corporate executives from across the country. As President, I have the honor of hosting the largest Diwali reception ever at the White House. To me, it means a lot. South Asian Americans have been key members of my staff as senator, vice president and president, the US president said in a packed East Room of the White House. From Kamala to Dr. Murthy and many of you here today, I am proud that I fulfilled my commitment to build an administration that looks like America.
Biden said in the East Room of the White House that as President, I have the privilege of hosting the largest Diwali celebration ever at the White House. It meant a lot to me. Recalling 2016, Biden said that he was the first Vice President who opened the doors of his house for a Diwali event. Now this has become a trend in America. Be it the President or the Vice President, a Diwali event is organized.
