Washington: The presidential election in America is approaching and the war of words between the candidates has intensified. US President Joe Biden has compared the supporters of Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump to ‘garbage’. Not only this, Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris has described her Republican rival Trump as ‘unstable’ and ‘obsessed with revenge’. Harris went so far as to say, “This is a man who is full of grievances and yearns for power.”
What did Joe Biden say?
“The trash I see floating out there is his supporters,” Joe Biden said during a campaign event. “Just a few days ago, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” he said. Well, I want to tell you something. I don’t know that Puerto Rican. The Puerto Rico I know is in my home state of Delaware and the people there are nice, civilized, respectful.”

Trump condemned
Republican Senator Marco Rubio raised the issue of the comment in front of thousands of Trump supporters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Former President Trump also condemned it. At a rally in Allentown, Trump called Biden’s remarks “terrible” and compared them to remarks made by Hillary Clinton in 2016, when she called some of Trump’s supporters “deplorables.” Elections for the post of President of America will be held on November 5. In this, 60-year-old Harris is competing against 78-year-old Trump. (Language)
