After 18 years, a Prime Minister of Spain set foot in India. Although relations between India and Spain have always been good. But amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, Spain has become very special for India and Israel due to its location. Through this tremendous road show, India played such a move which will surprise many countries.
Recently a picture attracted the attention of the whole world. The person present with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi among the SPG commandos is considered very important for the friendship between India and Israel. A road show was taken out in Vadodara, Gujarat. Suddenly the eyes of the whole world were fixed on this road show, especially Israel. The person standing with PM Modi is none other than Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. After 18 years, a Prime Minister of Spain set foot in India. First of all, let us tell you why the Spanish Prime Minister had reached Vadodara. Actually, Prime Minister Modi and Spain PM Sanchez inaugurated the Tata Complex in Vadodara, Gujarat. C-295 aircraft will be manufactured for the Indian Army in this complex. Under the agreement, 40 aircraft will be manufactured at this complex in Vadodara. The responsibility of manufacturing these 40 aircraft in India has been given to Tata Advanced Systems and this complex is the first private sector final assembly line for military aircraft in India. This will include manufacturing of aircraft, assembling their parts and testing them. Besides, maintenance facilities for aircraft will also be provided. Apart from Tata, major defense public sector units such as Bharat Electronics and Bharat Dynamics as well as private micro, small and medium enterprises will contribute to the programme. Modi had laid the foundation stone for the Vadodara final assembly line in October 2022.
Now let us tell you what big game India is playing through this road show. In fact, some time ago Spain had stood as a wall between India and Israel. Israel needed weapons for self-defense and counter-attack. Israel asked for weapons from India. To help friend Israel, India sent a ship with 27 tons of gunpowder to Israel. The ship was about to reach Israel. But Spain did not allow this Indian ship to go to Israel. This ship was stopped midway. The biggest reason for this is the enmity between Israel and Spain. India found the long route via Spain to deliver gunpowder to Israel suitable. Spain is the only country in Europe to support Palestine. In such a situation, both India and Israel want that by talking to Spain, a way should be found by which goods from India can reach Israel.
