At the very time when Bangladesh was busy threatening India, a huge attack took place on it. 271 km border of Bangladesh has been captured. Even claims are being made that Teknaf city of Bangladesh has also been captured. A rebel organization from Myanmar has captured the border of Bangladesh. This organization is carrying out tremendous attacks on Bangladesh. The attacks are so severe that the Bangladesh border has fled to the Myanmar border. Myanmar’s rebel organization Arakan Army has entered into Bangladesh and carried out attacks. Arkan is attacking Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi Muslims with drones. Many people even say that the Arkan Army wants to break Bangladesh into pieces to please India.
Arkan Army wants India to complete its Kaladan project. Now, how much truth is there in this claim will become clear with time. But first let us tell you what is Kaladan Project? Actually, India adopted Look East Policy in the 90s. That is, we started strengthening relations with the countries of East Asia. In 2014, the Modi government named it Act East Policy and started focusing more on relations with the countries of South East Asia. The Kaladan Multi Modal Transit Transport Project was designed in 2008 to provide access to Southeast Asian countries and to create infrastructure. Under this, the shortest route was to reach the North Eastern states of India as well as the countries of South East Asia.

Everyone knows that at present there is a civil war going on in Myanmar. Different areas of Myanmar are under the control of different rebel organizations. In such a situation, Arakan Army is ruling Rakhine area. The Rohingya Muslims you hear about are from the Rakhine region only. Rakhine is inhabited by 30 percent Rohingya Muslims and 60 percent Buddhists.
Rakhine area has always been inhabited by Buddhist people. But when the Rohingyas started killing Buddhist people, the Arakan Army was established in 2009 to take revenge. Till now it was fighting a war only with the Rohingyas. But ever since Mohammad Yunus government came to power in Bangladesh, Arakan Army has started attacking Bangladesh also. Arakan Army believes that Rohingya can become stronger after Yunus government comes to power in Bangladesh. To stop this, Arakan Army has captured 271 km border of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
