No new local cases of corona virus were reported in China for the third consecutive day, but the death toll rises to 3255, with seven more deaths due to infection with this corona deadly virus.

China National Health Commission (NHC) said on Saturday that no local cases of COVID-19 were reported on the Chinese mainland for the third consecutive day on Friday. He said that seven people died and 36 new suspected cases were registered on Friday. All seven died in the Hubei province and it’s capital Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus.

NHC reported that the number of confirmed cases of infection in the Chinese mainland increased to 81,008 by Friday. Of these, 3255 people have died, 6013 patients are undergoing treatment and 71,740 patients have been discharged from the hospital. The commission said that 106 people are still suspected of being infected with the virus. He said that 41 new cases of COVID-19 infection among people coming to China from abroad came out on Friday. With this, the total cases of infection in people from abroad in China has increased to 269. However, the NHC did not state whether the infected people were foreigners or Chinese.

More than two and a half million people worldwide

There have been more than 2.5 million cases of corona virus worldwide. The AFP gave the figure on Friday based on official sources. At least 256,296 cases of the disease were reported from 163 countries of the world and 11015 patients died. The virus first surfaced in China in December where it infected 80976 people and killed 3248 patients. The maximum number of 4032 deaths from this disease occurred in Italy and 47021 cases were reported. These figures, based on test tests, maybe just a fraction of the actual infection rate because many countries only examine people with very severe symptoms.
