US-Taliban agreement: US says we will leave Afghanistan in 14 months

A peace deal was reached between the US and Afghanistan militant group Taliban on Saturday. If the Taliban complies with the agreement, the US and its allies will withdraw all their troops from Afghanistan within 14 months. Washington and Kabul said this in a joint statement on Saturday. After this agreement, the US can begin to take out its army. During the talks, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged the Taliban to fulfil their promise to end relations with al-Qaeda. This historic agreement between the US and the Taliban took place in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
