Congress is still not able to understand the defeat of Haryana. His train is still stuck in the defeat of Haryana, while on the other hand, Narendra Modi’s train has reached Maharashtra. The entire focus is on how to achieve victory like Haryana in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. Therefore, you will remember that within 24 hours of winning Haryana, PM Modi and the Maharashtra government started changing the course of Maharashtra elections with back-to-back decisions and sharp statements. Rahul Gandhi did not come forward for 24 hours after the results of Haryana elections were declared. On the other hand, within 24 hours of victory in Haryana, PM Modi set the target for the leaders of Maharashtra. He has been boosted to ensure an even bigger win over Haryana. PM Modi played the Hindutva card to counter the caste politics of Congress like in Haryana elections. By connecting through video conferencing, PM Modi gifted a project worth Rs 7,600 crore to the Maharashtra government. That means PM Modi set the agenda of both development and Hindutva together in Maharashtra.

Continuous visits from PM Modi to Amit Shah
PM Modi has visited Maharashtra four times in the last four months. Apart from this, Union Minister Amit Shah has also visited Maharashtra to take stock of election preparations and finalize seat sharing. Maharashtra assembly elections are also a matter of concern for the BJP alliance. After UP, Maharashtra has the highest number of seats in the Lok Sabha. BJP hopes that the effect of Haryana’s victory will be visible on Maharashtra also and PM Modi had also said this while addressing the workers on the day of Haryana victory. In Maharashtra, BJP did not perform well in the Lok Sabha elections and BJP will try to erase its memory with a new victory.
BJP played its move before Rahul’s caste politics
Rahul Gandhi has campaigned in Maharashtra. But before Rahul could ignite the Dalit and backward class politics in Maharashtra, BJP made a big move. Just before the elections, Dalits, OBCs, minorities and tribals are being targeted. Most of the attention is on OBC vote bank. This can be gauged from two big decisions. For example, the Maharashtra government has recommended to the Center to increase the income limit of non-creamy layer for OBC category from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. Along with this, the National Backward Commission has also recommended the inclusion of seven castes and 12 sub-castes in the central list of OBCs in Maharashtra. With this, these castes will also be able to get reservation in central government jobs. These castes have a big influence in the politics of Maharashtra and they have around 10 lakh voters.
