Counter Intelligence, Amritsar has arrested two persons from Noorpur Padhari near Gharinda, Amritsar, who were waiting for someone to hand over weapons smuggled from Pakistan.
Punjab Police has arrested two people after recovering eight sophisticated pistols smuggled from Pakistan. A top official gave this information on Saturday.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said that he was caught from Noorpur Padhari in Amritsar. Yadav said in a post on Was waiting for someone to hand over.
Police officials said that a case has been registered in this regard under the Arms Act in Amritsar and investigation is going on. He said eight sophisticated weapons have been recovered, which include four Glock pistols (made in Austria), two Turkish-made 9mm pistols and two X-Shot Zigana pistols.
