A total of 107 check posts have been set up in various districts of the hilly region and Imphal Valley in the state but no one was detained for violating the law on Wednesday, the statement said.
Security forces have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in Thoubal district of Manipur. Police gave this information on Thursday. Police said in a statement that during a search in Phugi Ching Ngamukhong area on Wednesday, 16 firearms, six 36HE grenades, two detonators, ammunition and walkie talkies were recovered but no one has been arrested in this connection.
