Let us tell you that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray again raised the issue of loudspeakers on mosques during a rally in Amravati. Elections will be held in Maharashtra on November 20 and counting of votes will take place on November 23. He alleged that some Muslim leaders were issuing fatwas from mosques to seek votes for Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Regarding this he said that give me power and I will ensure that there is not a single loudspeaker on any mosque in Maharashtra.

Thackeray also claimed that he had forcibly removed mosque loudspeakers during Uddhav Thackeray’s tenure as chief minister, leading to 17,000 cases being filed against his supporters. Taking aim at Sharad Pawar, Thackeray called him ‘Sant Sharadchandra Pawar’, accusing him of instigating discord between the OBC and Maratha communities. Taking aim at Uddhav Thackeray’s recent call for Shivaji Maharaj temples in all districts, Thackeray asked, “Are statues not enough that temples need to be built in every district?”
