The air quality in Delhi remained “very poor” on Thursday morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 367 at 9 am while the air quality in nine centers – Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar, Bawana, Jahangirpuri, Mundka, Rohini, Sonia Vihar, Vivek Vihar, Wazipur. The quality was recorded in the “severe” category.
AQI 0-50 is ‘good’, 51-100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 is ‘moderate’, 201-300 is ‘poor’, 301-400 is ‘very poor’ and 401-500 is ‘severe’. ‘ is considered in the category.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky is likely to remain clear in Delhi and there will be fog during the day, while there are chances of light fog at night.
The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius, which is 3.7 degrees above the normal temperature for this season. The humidity level at 8.30 am was 94 percent.
