There was a huge uproar in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Thursday over the issue of Article 370. The MLAs fought in the House by throwing punches at each other. The chaos started after Awami Ittehad Party MLA Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh, brother of Engineer Rashid, displayed a banner on Article 370. After this, LOP Sunil Sharma objected to the banner display. Now regarding this, Smriti Irani of Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday targeted the India faction of the opposition.

Smriti Irani said that while swearing by the Constitution of India, yesterday the Indi Alliance had the audacity to strangle the Indian Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the scenes in Jammu and Kashmir in which the Congress-backed Indi Alliance has the audacity to violate the rights of tribals, Dalits and women by flouting the Constitution of India. Awakened India will not tolerate that audacity.
He said that under the resolution passed yesterday by Indi Alliance, they are seen fighting a new war against the Constitution of India in Jammu and Kashmir. I want to ask the leaders of Indie Alliance whether the decision of the Parliament of India and the Supreme Court is acceptable to everyone. Who has given the Congress and the National Conference the right to insult and disregard that decision? She said that I want to ask all the leaders of Indi Alliance whether Congress and Indi Alliance are against the rights of the tribal society after the removal of Article 370?

The BJP leader further questioned whether the Congress-led Indi Alliance is against the rights that the Dalits and backward communities in Jammu and Kashmir got under the Constitution of India after the removal of Article 370? He said that after the removal of Article 370, there was an 80% decline in civilian deaths in Jammu and Kashmir. It is known to every Indian that after the removal of Article 370, there was a 70% reduction in terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. Instead of working on development issues, an elected government through democratic framework is trying to break India, instead of uniting India.
