Amit Shah further said that the crackdown against drug and narco trade will continue without any laxity. Modi government is committed to create a drug-free India by saving our youth from the drug menace. Responding to Shah’s post, Delhi Police said that they are committed to making Delhi a drug-free city. At least 518 kg of cocaine worth around Rs 5,000 crore was recovered from Ankleshwar in Gujarat on Sunday in a joint operation between Delhi and Gujarat police and five people were arrested, officials said.

The new seizure is linked to the recovery of 700 kg of cocaine in Delhi, officials said. Along with this, 1,289 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana worth more than Rs 13,000 crore have been recovered so far. The number of arrests in this connection has increased to 12. Sources said it is believed to be the biggest seizure ever by any agency in the country. According to a Delhi Police official, during the investigation into the previous seizure of 700 kg of cocaine, the Special Cell found that the drugs were brought from Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar.
