Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam organized Maha Shanti Homa

Tirupati: There is outrage across the country after the case of adulteration in the Prasad of Tirupati Balaji Temple of Andhra Pradesh came to light. Recently, the Andhra Pradesh government had also taken three big decisions, in which it was said that the temple will be purified according to the traditions. Along with this, orders were given to investigate the entire matter at the IGP level. Now only those people will be in the management committee of the temple who have faith in God. Apart from this, a standard operating procedure (SOP) will be made for all the temples, which will be mandatory for all the temples to follow.

TTD organized Maha Shanthi Homa

TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam) has organised a Maha Shantihoma in the wake of the Laddu Prasadam controversy. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer Shamala Rao and other officials of the board have participated in the homa along with priests.

Let us tell you that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is an independent government trust in India, managed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The trust mainly oversees the operations and finances of the richest and most visited religious center Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala. It is headquartered in Tirumala, Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.

CM made serious allegations against the trust

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had recently alleged that appointments in the TTD board had become like gambling during the previous state government and there were instances of appointing people who had no faith and preference was given to non-Hindus in the board.

Speaking to reporters at his residence, Naidu said people’s sentiments were hurt after revelations about the laddus that allegedly used animal fat in their preparation. “An SIT will be formed under the supervision of an officer of the IG (Inspector General) level or above. It will investigate all the causes, abuse of power and submit a report to the government,” Naidu said.
