In view of the increasing rush of passengers during Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals, Central Railway announced to run two more unreserved special trains between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur. According to the information received from the officials, with this the total number of rail services has increased to 583.

According to officials, the first unreserved special train (No. 01019) will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 2:30 pm on 28 October 2024 and reach Gorakhpur station at 11:00 pm the next day. Similarly, the second train (No. 01020) will depart from Gorakhpur station at 12:45 pm on October 30, 2024 and reach CSMT Mumbai at 10:35 am the next day.
Where will the trains stop on the route?
Both the trains will stop at many places on the route. These include Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda and Basti.
15 sleeper class coaches in each train
Each train will have 15 sleeper class coaches and 2 guard cum brake vans, with sleeper coaches operating on unreserved basis. Central Railways, in an official statement, encouraged passengers to check the detailed timings and stoppages by visiting the Indian Railways website or downloading the NTES app. Officials reminded passengers to carry valid tickets to avoid any inconvenience during the busy festival season.
