Thiruvananthapuram : The Air India Express plane going from Thiruvananthapuram to Muscat had to land back on the runway shortly after take off. Actually, smoke started rising from the plane as soon as it took off. There was a stir due to the smoke rising from the plane. The plane immediately made an emergency landing back at Thiruvananthapuram airport. The breathing of 148 passengers aboard this plane stopped.
According to Air India spokesperson, smoke started appearing as soon as the plane took off. After this, emergency landing of the plane was done. All passengers and crew members on board the aircraft are safe. Alternative arrangements are being made for the onward journey of the passengers. A technical investigation will be conducted to find out what caused the smoke in the plane. Air India Express has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
