ATS arrested 11 members of the syndicate working for infiltrators

Along with Abdullah, UP ATS has so far arrested 11 accused in the case. The search for some other gang members has also been intensified. Along with carrying out illegal infiltration, the gang was also promoting anti-national activities with foreign funding.

Lucknow. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested Rohingya Muslim Abdullah alias Abdul Salam Mandal, an active member of the syndicate involved in infiltrating Bangladeshis, from Varanasi. Abdullah was living here for a long time by changing his identity. Abdullah has also built his house in West Medinipur, Bengal with the money earned through illegal infiltration. Aadhar card, PAN card, Indian election card, UNHRC card, mobile, three memory cards and other documents have been recovered from the possession of Abdullah, originally from Myanmar.

Along with Abdullah, UP ATS has so far arrested 11 accused in the case. The search for some other gang members has also been intensified. Along with carrying out illegal infiltration, the gang was also promoting anti-national activities with foreign funding. On October 11, 2023, ATS busted the gang involved in infiltration of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas by arresting Adil Mohammad Asrafi alias Adilur Rahman, resident of Mirpur, Bangladesh, as well as Najibul Shaikh and Abu Huraira Ghazi, residents of Bengal. It has been told that the gang was also connected to Deoband (Saharanpur). Najibul and Abu Huraira were taking shelter in Deoband, while Adilur Rahman, an active member of the gang coming to Deoband from Bengal, was arrested in Varanasi. ATS investigation had revealed that the gang was infiltrating Bangladeshi citizens from the India-Bangladesh border and getting them asylum by preparing fake Indian documents.
