Ayodhya Deepotsav 2024 | 'Whatever you asked, we fulfilled, now it is your turn', this statement of Yogi Adityanath became a topic of discussion in Ayodhya.
Festive fervor was witnessed in Ayodhya for the first time after the eighth edition of Deepotsav and the consecration of the Ram temple, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath telling the people of the temple town that now is their turn to “prove” themselves.
Adityanath said, “I have come to tell you. Whatever you said after 2017 is coming through Ayodhya. You had said in 2017, Yogi ji, do one thing, build a temple. The temple has been constructed, Ram Lala has been installed. The temple is constructed and Ram Lalla is enshrined there.

Adityanath said, “That is why I have come to realize… the double engine government has done what it had said.” Now it is Ayodhya’s turn. It is Ayodhya’s turn to prove itself again. This ordeal of Mother Sita should not happen again and again. That’s why I have come to make you realize this… Whatever promise was made by the double engine government, we fulfilled it. Now, it is Ayodhya’s turn. Now Ayodhya has to be done again. Prove yourself. The fire test of Goddess Sita should not be repeated again and again.
His comments came after his party’s defeat in the Lok Sabha elections from Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency, where Ayodhya is located. BJP, which had made the inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya an election issue in the Lok Sabha elections, lost this seat to SP.
It is noteworthy that by-election is to be held on Milkipur assembly seat in Ayodhya. This seat had become vacant after SP leader Awadhesh Prasad was elected MP from Faizabad Lok Sabha seat. At the Deepotsav ceremony, Adityanath targeted SP and accused it of ‘ruining’ it. The blood of Ram devotees has been shed in Ayodhya.

Claiming that Ayodhya now has the infrastructure it never got after Independence, the CM said: “Those who deprived Ayodhya of electricity. Those who forced you to bathe in rotten water at Ram Ki Pauri, they Today Ayodhya has been made the country’s first solar city in the name of Lord Ram, where no airplane had landed after the landing of Lord Ram’s Pushpak Vimana, with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The haunt has been given away.”
Adityanath said Ayodhya’s transformation is proof of the “double engine government delivering on its promise” and stressed that by 2047, when India will celebrate 100 years of independence, a similar transformation should take place in Kashi and Mathura. He also hit out at the opposition for becoming an obstacle to the government’s development agenda. “Like mafia dons, these obstacles will also be eliminated,” he said.
Adityanath said the transformation of Ayodhya is “just the beginning” and is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts. Outlining Modi’s vision to develop the heritage of Sanatan Dharma and take it to the global stage, he said, “Deepotsav not only strengthens social and national unity through the display of lights, but also symbolizes national unity. Is.”
