Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini had also offered prayers at the temple before the assembly elections and after assuming power in the state for the second consecutive time. Elections for the 288-member assembly in Maharashtra are to be held on November 20.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday offered prayers at the iconic Kamakhya temple in Guwahati ahead of the assembly elections in the state. Shinde along with his family and party members offered prayers at the temple situated on the Nilanchal hills.

He told reporters, “We had come here two and a half years ago even before the government was formed and I have come here again to seek the blessings of Mother Kamakhya. We believe that his divine blessings are always with us and hence we have come to worship him.

Recently, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also offered prayers at the temple before the assembly elections and after assuming power in the state for the second consecutive time. Elections for the 288-member assembly in Maharashtra are to be held on November 20.
