Case of adulteration in Tirupati Balaji temple prasad

Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board has officially filed a police complaint in the case of alleged adulteration of ‘prasadam’ given to devotees at Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh. According to reports, TTD General Manager (Procurement) P. Murali Krishna has filed a complaint against AR Dairy Food Private Limited Dindigul at East Police Station Tirupati. Earlier, the government has formed an SIT under the leadership of senior police officer Sarveshwar Tripathi which will investigate this adulteration case.

Public interest litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court

A PIL has also been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the adulteration in the Prasad of the world famous Tirupati Balaji temple. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had filed this PIL. Subramanian Swamy had demanded an inquiry into the allegations of adulteration leveled by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Let us tell you that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu had recently accused the Tirupati Balaji temple prasad of adulteration with animal fat during the NDA Legislature Party meeting. However, former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy had called it political rhetoric.

The board managing the country’s richest temple had revealed on Friday that it had found adulteration of poor quality ghee and animal fat in the samples sent for quality check. The claim of adulteration of laddus with animal fat was made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. After the previous YSR Congress Party government was accused of this issue, former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy had called it a political diversion and a fabricated story.
