A 25-year-old candidate preparing for a competitive examination allegedly committed suicide in Kankarbagh area of Patna, the capital of Bihar. Police gave this information on Wednesday.
Police said that the deceased has been identified as Sonu Kumar (25).
Patna Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO-1) Abhinav told PTI on Wednesday, ‘Sonu was found hanging inside his room in Hanuman Nagar of Kankarbagh area on Tuesday night.’
“Immediately after receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and took him to the nearest government hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead,” he said. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
Abhinav said, “Prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide. Local people and relatives of the youth told the police that Sonu was preparing for many competitive examinations including Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). He was under stress for the last few months due to career concerns. No suicide note has been found from the spot.
