Assembly elections are due in Bihar this year. In such a situation, the Mahagathbandhan is continuing a mutual tussle between different parties for the CM candidate. The matter is further complicated by the rise of the new Lok Samata Party’s Upendra Kushwaha on Friday after Meera Kumar from the Congress and Tejashwi Yadav from the RJD as CM candidate. Kushwaha has advocated making former JDU leader Sharad Yadav the face of the grand alliance.
According to media reports, Hindustani Awam Morcha has also supported Kushwaha’s proposal. On Friday, a meeting of Grand Alliance parties led by former MP Sharad Yadav was held in Patna, which included Jitanram Manjhi of HAM, Upendra Kushwaha of RLSP and Mukesh Sahni of VIP. The meeting discussed the CM face of the grand alliance in the upcoming assembly elections. It was told that during this time Jitan Ram Manjhi also agreed to the proposal to make Sharad Yadav of Kushwaha as CM candidate.
All parties have their own CM face: Let me tell you that before the alliance of Mahagathbandhan, Congress has thrown out the name of Meira Kumar as CM candidate. At the same time, Rashtriya Janata Dal has already declared Tejashwi Yadav as the CM face of the party due to Lalu Prasad Yadav being in jail. At the same time, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party had also called him CM face in the past. In such a situation, it will not be easy to solve the matter of CM face before the assembly elections in the grand alliance.
