Lucknow . Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, while targeting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party (SP), said that both the parties are losing sleep due to her party being in the fray in the by-elections. Therefore, leaders of both the parties are creating slogans to divert attention. Mayawati accused of alliance between BJP and SP in the state. Responding to the slogans of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in his recent speeches like ‘If we divide, we will be cut’ and SP’s ‘If we join, we will win’, the BSP chief on Saturday said that their (BJP and SP) double standards and policies should be taken into consideration in every matter. Keeping this in mind, the reality should be that ‘If you join BSP, you will move ahead and will also be safe.’
Mayawati told reporters, “Ever since by-elections were declared on nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, BJP and SP are losing sleep because this time BSP is also contesting alone on all the seats.” Mayawati said, “For a long time, except one or two by-elections, BSP has not contested most of the by-elections, since then especially BJP and SP and their alliance have been contesting these by-elections by dividing among themselves.” He said, “But this time when BSP has also entered the field, the problems of their alliance have increased.”
The BSP chief claimed, “To divide the public’s attention, the BJP has now started promoting slogans like ‘If you divide, you will be cut’ and the people of SP are busy promoting slogans like ‘If you join, you will win’. Keeping in mind their double standards and policies in every matter, the reality should be that if they join BSP, they will move ahead and will also be safe.” Claiming better law and order and development during the BSP rule, he said, “However, in terms of development and law and order in the state, only the BSP rule has been much better than the BJP and the previous SP government.” Mayawati cautioned the public and said, “In such a situation, one should not fall prey to slogans and posters. Now, due to their shortcomings, the people of BJP are seeking votes by raising the slogan ‘If you divide, you will be divided’, the people of SP are seeking votes by raising the slogan ‘If you join, you will win’, whereas under the guise of these slogans, both the parties are misleading the people here. Is doing.”
He cautioned the voters and said that these people are raising slogans and posters to divert attention from the shortcomings. Voting will be held on November 13 in Uttar Pradesh’s Katehari (Ambedkarnagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Mirapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhwan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur Nagar), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj) and Kundarki (Moradabad). Counting of votes will take place on November 23. BJP is contesting on eight of the nine seats and its ally RLD (Rashtriya Lok Dal) is contesting from Meerapur seat, while Samajwadi Party with the support of Congress has fielded its candidates on all the nine seats. BSP is also in direct contest on all the nine seats.
