Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said the BJP wants to come to power in Delhi not to work for the people but to stop the AAP government’s schemes like free electricity, education and healthcare. He was addressing the meeting of party workers in Pitampura.
Kejriwal warned the workers against internal strife and said that this could lead to AAP’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections to be held in February. “Don’t care who is there (in the elections) because Kejriwal will be fighting on all 70 seats,” he said. I will get your work done, no matter who is elected as MLA.
Delhi state BJP president Virendra Sachdeva hit back and said, “Delhi people have made up their mind to reject the corrupt Aam Aadmi Party government indulging in anarchy.”
Taking a dig at Kejriwal, Sachdeva said that in the recently held Haryana Assembly elections, AAP contested 90 seats as if the former Chief Minister was contesting on all the seats and it lost on all the seats.
Kejriwal said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power, it would stop all free schemes including electricity, water, bus travel for women, healthcare and education.
