Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that it wants to win every election by mistake and adopts loot system in every election.
Referring to the by-elections for nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Yadav told reporters here, “Bharatiya Janata Party looted votes in Uttar Pradesh.” They (BJP people) want to win every election by mistake. In every election they adopt some looting mechanism or the other.
He said, “…for the first time you must have seen that…police, administration and officials were all busy ensuring that voters were not able to leave their homes to cast their votes.” He said, “Can you imagine that? If you are a Muslim, a backward person from the Samajwadi Party, a Dalit, a tribal, a woman… then you cannot go to vote.
He said, “This new type of democracy under the BJP government has posed the biggest threat.” Yadav said, “BJP is taking democracy to its lowest level.
BJP knew that it was losing in the by-elections…. They would have lost nine out of nine seats in the count, hence the entire government was engaged in looting votes.” On the revelations in America regarding industrialist Adani, he said that Adani This is a long fight and it will continue.
